English Surfing in Land Mark Internet Deal

As a direct result of last Augusts press conference by the English Surfing Federation (ESF) in Newquay, UK based website designers Shopfitter.com have come onboard as a key sponsor.

As a result of an interview on the Radio 4 Today programme, Simon Allen, CEO of Shopfitter.com contacted the ESF's Rob Barber and agreed to re-design, market and host the ESF surf school's website and build a new site to represent the Federation on line (photo: Rob Barber (left) meets Simon Allen).

The ESF is a non profit making organisation focussed on promoting English surfing from a grass roots level. Rob commented "Due to the lack of government funding the ESF's surf school is the only source of revenue, so the new websites are a massive boost for the Federation".

Mr. Allen commented: "The link between online surfing and real surfing was really attractive to us and it seemed that we could bring some real financial benefits to the ESF through the use of e-commerce"

Shopfitter.com specialises in bringing the benefits of e-commerce to small businesses and organisations in a risk free way by giving away its software free of charge.

In this instance, we will be providing the ESF with web based facilities that enable them to take online bookings for the Surf School as well as improving further sponsorship opportunities by managing web-marketing activities.

"We will be helping out by creating facilities for online surfing communities to grow and assisting the ESF to sell their merchandise through the new website too."

The new websites will substantially raise the ESF profile while Shopfitter.com becomes well known in a sector that it wouldn't otherwise have reached.
