Haven't stopped feeling stoked since yesterday, they were the first two waves I've got on since I had since my accident. Brendan and (Rob) made all the difference and gave me the confidence I needed to get past the fear of paddling on to a wave.

"In between these two brilliantly positive encouraging men I felt safe and so I kicked harder, but I was completely sh*****g myself about getting on a wave, then I was there. Out back.
Then I was lifted and flying, I pushed up on my arms and got the nose down, I took off down the wave with a yell, and I was flying down a clean wave, so fast, it felt so fast.
I leaned a little to the right and shifted my hip over to the rail, dropped my left hand back like Brendan had told me and looked right along the wave.
I turned, I turned in. I really struggled with this on a surf board, between getting to my feet and turning, I never got the timing right, always dug a rail and always carcked it.
This time it was smooth and I turned in and on time,  for a few glorious seconds I was tucked in,  then I hit the white water as the wave closed out. I rode it all the way with a face splitting grin.
"Oh my goodness that was f****g amazing" I was thinking this, as I turned around and paddled out again, I could see Rob and Brendan looking over the top of the waves, they gave me a thumbs up, big smiles and beckoned for me to paddle back out to them.

Many thanks for your input on the Tretherras Bodyboarding activity week. Our pupils found your enthusiasm for Bodyboarding infectious, they loved the lesson, and are already asking to go again next year. We held a mini contest the next day, and we had loads of pupils spinning 360's in the shorey.

Particular thanks for taking the time to come into school and talk to the pupils. The presentation you gave was super, you got everyone involved, entertained both staff and students. We all had a great day.
